About the Project

The Periodic Table: Interactive 3D turns the chart on every classroom wall into something you can explore: tap any element to see what it is made of, how it behaves and what it looks like, in 3D. It is built for students, teachers, researchers and anyone who is curious about the building blocks of the universe.

What You Can Do

Explore all 118 elements Around 20 properties for each, from atomic mass to crystal structure, plus a short history and everyday uses. See atoms in 3D Rotate an interactive Bohr model of the electron shells and the element's crystal structure. Hear the names Tap the speaker to hear how any element is pronounced, even oganesson. Teach with it Filter by group or series, search by name, symbol or number, and switch to full-screen mode for the classroom. Understand every number A plain-language glossary explains each property, linked right from the element details. Take it anywhere Available in 9 languages on the web, and as free apps for iOS and Android.

Where the Data Comes From

The element data is compiled from trusted open sources:

Wikipedia, for element properties and background.
IUPAC, the official authority for element names and symbols.

We work hard to keep every value accurate, but for critical research, always check the primary scientific literature.

React for the interface, Three.js and React Three Fiber for the 3D models, and Capacitor for the iOS and Android apps.
